Softening Resin LEWATIT C 249 NS -2 Kg

Lewatit® C 249 NS water softener resin is a premium grade gel, strongly acidic cation exchange resin with beads of uniform size (monodisperse) based an a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer, supplied in its sodium form.

It is manufactured without using solvents. Lanxess Lewatit® C 249 NS meets the highest standards of the residential and municipal water treatment industries. Lewatit® C 249 NS is in chemical compliance with FDA 21 CFR § 173.25. 

The monodisperse beads are chemically and osmotically very stable, and they can effectively be disinfected for the drinking water processing. The optimized kinetics lead to an increased operating capacity compared to ion exchange resins with heterodisperse bead size distribution. 

Compared with other resins, Lewatit resins out perform all other resins in respect of service life and longevity because it has a reduced salt consumption and improved chlorine tolerance.

Lewatit® MonoPlus C 249 NS Softener resin is especially applicable for:
» Softening in special systems with regular disinfection.
» Softening of drinking water.
» Residential, commercial and industrial water softeners.

This resin is adding special features to the resin bed:
» high exchange flow rates during regeneration and loading
» a good utilization of the total capacity
» a low demand for rinse water
» homogeneous throughput of regenerants, water and solutions; therefore a homogeneous working zone
» nearly linear pressure drop gradient for the whole bed depth; therefore operation with higher bed depth is possible
