Residual Hardness Test Kit

Accurate and simple drop-count kit measures water hardness residual as ppm (0.1 french degree - °F or f).

This test kit is specially developed for testing boiler, cooling and industrial process water, also used for softener product water (outlet water) to check the performance of your water softener system.

Economical residual hardness analysis of water, This water testing kit tests for water hardness residual (calcium and magnesium hardness) by using the dropper bottle method.

Range/sensitivity is 1 drop = 1 ppm (0.1°f) CaCO3. (test tube filled to 5ml).
Range/sensitivity is 1 drop = 0.5 ppm (0.05°f) CaCO3. (test tube filled to 10ml).

Number of tests: aporx 600 drops.

With our water hardness testing kit, simply fill test tube with water to be analysed to the 5ml mark, then add 1 drop reagent A (buffer) and mix, then add reagent B (titrant) drop by drop, count the number of drops required to change the solution colour from red to green to determine hardness concentration, each drop = 1 ppm CaCO3 hardness. This Colour change from red to green is the endpoint of the titration.
If one drop produces a green colour, total hardness is < 1 ppm.
