SWC5 membranes provide optimum salt rejection and permeate flows. They are chosen when lower permeate TDS and lower feed pressures are needed.
SWC5 membranes offer highest energy efficiency at lowest costs and are used in mega desalination plants.

LD Technology® models are offered to minimize colloidal fouling when used with conventional pre-treatment equipment. They offer consistently low feed pressures and highest duration between two successive cleanings.

Test conditions: 32,000 mg/l NaCl, 55.2 bar (800 psi), 25 °C (77 °F), pH 6.5-7, recovery rate 10%.

Actual testing of elements may be done at conditions which vary from these exact values; in which case, the performance is normalized back to these standard conditions. Permeate flow for individual elements may vary +25 / -15 percent from the value specified.

Hydranautics SWC5-LD-4040 is a standard size seawater membrane, widely used for watermakers, desalinators, seawater desalination systems, marine (yacht and boat), Navy and martime applications.
Commonly used in on-board Watermakers to create drinking water from seawater for yachts, boats, and cruise ships.
