A shower filter screws on between your wall outlet or shower arm and the hose or shower head, so water passes through it first. You keep your own shower head.
What's inside depends on the model. Ours hold KDF-55 and granular activated carbon, about 60 g of vitamin C with an aroma element, or 7 stages in an aluminium housing.
