Purified: Has gone through all the stages of filtration.
Should be used for: Drinking and cooking.

Filtered: Only goes through the first stage of Carbon and sediment filtration.
Can be used for cleaning, washing dishes and other household tasks.

(The "Filtered" outlet can be closed if not needed or if you have a single outlet tap or 3 way mixer tap)
