Economical Large Capacity Manual water softener reduces the negative impacts of hard water, it treats the water by removing hardness using ion exchange resin. Softener resin exchanges the hardness ions (calcium & magnesium) for sodium ions.

Manual water softening system is a great option for commercial and industrial applications, car wash, window cleaner, farms, small factory, commercial and industrial appliance feed water (washing machines, dishwashers, showers ..etc).

Technical Specifications:
- Service Flow Rate: 35 LPM (2,100 LPH) @ 200ppm Hardness.
- Maximum Flow Rate (peak): 45 LPM (2,700 LPH) @ 200PPM Hardness.
- Water Treated: 36,500L @ 200ppm Hardness (before regeneration is required).
- Salt Usage approx: 25 kg per regeneration.
- Working Inlet Water Pressure: 30 to 90 PSI (2-6 bar). {Ideal presuure: 45PSI / 3 bar}.
- Inlet/Outlet/: 1" BSP female.
- *Inlet Water Quality: Salinity (TDS) < 3,000ppm, Hardness < 800ppm, Iron < 0.8ppm, Free chlorine < 0.4ppm, Water Turbidity < 5 NTU.
- Easy to install and operate, manual operation, low maintenance water softener, low running costs.

Water Softener System Includes:
1 - FRP Pressure Vessel Tank: Size 16″x65″, 100% corrosion resistant and made from high performance composite material food grade HDPE seamless liner with FRP filament winding. More info Click Here.
2 - Softening Resin: 125L of Lewatit® S1567 premium food grade softening resin, or premium softening ion exchange resin Lewatit® C 249 NS
3 - Multiport Manual Valve Head: NO electricity required, 5 Cycles: service, backwash, regeneration, brine refill and fast rinse, to be done manauly like a multiport valve of swimming pool sand filter.
4 - Brine Tank: 200L, comes with brine float valve, grid plate, brine well and cap.
5 - Fittings: Riser pipe, bottom and top strainer baskets, pvc tube (for attaching brine tank).

How Do Manual Softeners Work
1. Raw water runs through a bed of sodium charged ion exchange resin
2. The hardness ions (calcium & magnesium) are exchanged with sodium ions
3. Eventually the resin contains only hardness minerals and has to be regenerated
4. The operator (You) monitor water usage, water quality and time, so you can know the softener needs to be regenerated.
5. You need to do the regenration cycles manually, you put it into the backwash cycle for 8-10 minutes, followed by a brine draw and slow rinse regenration for 40-60 minutes, then a brine tank refill for 10-15 minutes, followed by fast rinse 8-10 minutes, and then back into the service mode, the softener is now ready to soften again.
During regenration the brine solution is drawn through the bed and hardness ions exchange for the sodium ions, Hardness ions are then rinsed to the drain.

Detailed operation manual and video will be sent along with this water softener.

DuPont RO Membranes

FilmTec™ Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis 4" Elements can separate salts from water and are produced with an automated fabrication process that ensures precision, consistency, and reliability. They are ideal for use in medium-sized water treatment system that produce less than approximately 10 gpm (2300 L/h) of permeate. DuPont Reverse Osmosis membranes build on a tradition of leadership in the thin-film composite membrane industry and meet the challenges of higher rejection in lower-pressure operations.

Commercial Application:

- Demineralisation for industrial applications, such as: PowerGeneration, Steel & Metal, Chemical & Petrochemical
- Drinking water.
- Softened water for homes, hotels, commercial laundries and car wash.
- Spot free rinse for window cleaning and solar panel cleaning
- Pure water for pharmaceuticals, laboratories, Hemodialysis and electronics
- Sterilisers and autoclaves.
- Chemical industry.
- Aquarium water treatment.

Filmtec XLE PRO-4040 Data Sheet

General Information:
- Keep elements moist at all times after initial wetting.
For successful operation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF) membrane systems, the operation must follow the guidelines provided in the FilmTec™ ReverseOsmosis / Nanofiltration Elements Operation Excellence and Limiting Conditions Tech Fact (Form No. 45-D04388-en).
- To prevent biological growth during prolonged system shutdowns, it is recommended that membrane elements be immersed in a preservative solution.
- The customer is fully responsible for the effects of incompatible chemicals and lubricants on elements.
- Avoid static permeate-side back pressure at all times.
- Permeate obtained from the first hour of operation should be discarded.
- The use of this product in and of itself does not necessarily guarantee the removal of cysts and pathogens from water. Effective cyst and pathogen reduction is dependent on the complete system design and on the operation and maintenance of the system.

Important Information:
- Proper start-up of reverse osmosis water treatment systems isessential to prepare the membranes for operating service  and to prevent membrane damage due to over feeding or hydraulic shock. Following the proper start-up sequence also  helps ensure that system operating parameters conform to design specifications so that system water quality and productivity goals can be achieved..
- Before initiating system start-up procedures, membrane pretreatment, loading of the membrane elements, instrument calibration and other system checks should be completed.
